Bolton Safeguarding Adults Board - Chair

£450 per day

We are looking for an individual with substantial knowledge and experience of Adult Safeguarding Policy and Practice. Someone who understands the principles of making safeguarding personal and who is passionate about ensuring that adults at risk receive the best possible service from both our statutory agencies and those across the voluntary and private sector, who support in making this happen.
The chair of the Bolton Safeguarding Adults Board (BSAB) must have significant knowledge and experience of working within services responsible for safeguarding adults, in order to command the respect and engagement of the Board and its constituent agencies.
You will need to demonstrate extensive experience in chairing strategic partnerships.
The Chair of the Board must have excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences. He/she must be able to form and develop effective strategic relationships at a senior level.
Are you someone who can communicate well in a range of settings from public meetings to briefings for County Councillors and who is confident to engage with Senior Managers across a range of organisations?
Can you offer an independent voice, representing the views of all partners whilst retaining the ability to challenge around improvement and effectiveness when required? If so, we would like to hear from you.
You will need to hold a professional qualification in a field related to Adult Safeguarding or demonstrate considerable relevant experience.
The role requires a leader who is self-motivated and accomplished in supporting a range of partners in senior roles. You also need to be able to demonstrate the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders and partner agencies to promote the rights of individuals to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
