Head of Service – Children and Families in Need of Help

As the strategic manager responsible for the Children in Need, Child Protection and Family Law processes within the service you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the service.

The successful applicant will the final piece in the jigsaw in respect of the permanent senior management team and by becoming part of it you will share their desire, commitment and innovative approach to play a major part in our ongoing improvement journey, and the transformational changes that we are making.

We are seeking talented and inspirational professionals who are either first-tier line managers ready for the next step in their career, or experienced strategic leaders seeking their next challenge who can:-

-       Think radically and innovate to help redefine children’s services

-       Promote a strength-based restorative approach to build family resilience

-       Develop meaningful relationships with staff via extensive learning and development opportunities, including coaching and mentoring

-       Add value and make the most of available resources

-       Place the child first in everything we do
