Salary                       £17,711 - £18,795 per annum

Birtenshaw is a dynamic and expanding charity that provides a unique range of services for children and young adults with special educational needs and disability. Our vision is to ‘Brighten Lives and Build Futures’ for these young people in Bolton, across the North West and beyond.

 

Working with children and young people with special education need and disability can be a challenging but rewarding job whatever the role; it’s a job that requires enthusiasm, dedication, energy, and a sense of humour. We offer various rewarding career opportunities including;

 

·         Child Support Worker - Full time rolling rota on a shift pattern

·         Adult Support Worker -Full time rolling rota on a shift pattern)

·         Weekend Support Worker - 14.5 hours to be worked over weekend

·         Night Support Worker - 2, 3 or 4 nights per week

·         Support Worker: Enrichment Service - Full or part time, Monday to Friday

 

What we offer:

 

·         Our support workers are based in teams in one particular location, although on occasion staff may be asked to cover elsewhere.

·         Staff recognition schemes such as employee of the month and long service awards.

·         Staff support services including Employee Assistance Programme (counselling and other support services) and Group Income Protection Scheme (income replacement insurance).

·         Staff Council – A forum for all employees to ask questions, make suggestions and implement change.

·         Clear career pathways and excellent training and support.

·         The opportunity to earn an additional £2000 for additional responsibilities undertaken.
