'Creative. Intuitive. Understanding.’

Does this describe you? Are you interested in joining a new and innovative team supporting adults with Autism and learning disabilities to have a great life?

Bolton Cares, your local care provider, is developing a newly built, innovative service due to open this autumn, specialising in supporting people with Autism and learning disabilities.

We are looking for individuals with a sound value base
to fill a variety of roles, including a team of support workers and bank staff with the right attributes and enthusiasm to support individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives in their local community.

You need to be a strong team player, passionate about supporting people with a range of needs, and willing to go the extra mile. An excellent communicator, you will understand that all behaviour is communication and will strive to build strong, empowering relationships. Having a positive outlook, a flexible approach and a genuine interest in understanding the needs of people with Autism is essential. Bolton Cares will offer a specialist training programme for those who have no previous experience in supporting people with Autism.

The service will provide 24 hour support to people in individual flats and you will be expected to work a shift pattern. The annual salary for support workers will be £17,736 (£9.19 per hour) and a workplace pension will be offered along with access to a comprehensive training programme. You will ideally hold a full UK or EU driver’s license.

Bolton Cares also provides services to adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and older people. For more information on other current vacancies, please visit the website: www.boltoncares.org.uk

We promote a positive culture where people are applauded for innovation and continual improvement.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS check is therefore required for this post.
