Job Type:        Caretaker
 
Salary: Grade C, point 4  Annual full time salary £18,426
(Pro rata 32.5 hours per week)
 
Hours:      Monday – Friday during term time plus 10 days to
  be worked during the school holidays.                      
Start time 6.30am; finish time 6pm.  Daily pattern of hours to be discussed and confirmed at the interview.
 
Contract Type:            Permanent

The Headteacher and Governors of this happy and successful school are seeking to appoint a Caretaker.  The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all school facilities are in excellent and safe condition with the highest possible standards of cleanliness being maintained for use by pupils, staff and visitors.  Applicants need to be able to work using their own initiative as well as a being an effective team member. They will need to be adaptable and self-motivated with an outgoing, cooperative and pleasant manner.
 
The candidate needs to:-
• Have a basic awareness of Health and Safety issues;
• Have a flexible approach to meet school needs and demands;
• Be able to work independently and as part of an effective team;
• Be adaptable, self-motivated and well organised;
• Be literate and numerate;
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a positive approach to working effectively with all members of the school community;
• Be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life.
• Work within and uphold the Catholic ethos of our school;
