Club Manager

 

The Local Governing Board and Head of School are seeking to appoint a highly committed experienced Manager with strong leadership skills for the day to day management of the before and after school provision for pupils aged between 3 – 11 years, working 25 hours per week during term-time plus 5.

 

The role will involve: -

 

·         Being responsible for the day-to-day running of the club, working with children and their parents.

·         Planning and co-ordinate a wide range of exciting activities for pupils from the Early Years, KS1 and KS2.

·         Working in close partnership with the Head of School and the school team.

·         Meeting Ofsted requirements, following policies and procedures, administrative duties, working to safeguard children and manage club play workers.

·         Being an experienced team leader with a friendly yet professional approach, effectively line managing the team to ensure that the provision is consistent, effective and of a high standard and that, all policies and procedures are adhered to.

·         Being reliable and well organised, who is accountable and takes responsibility.

·         Prioritising safeguarding, having an excellent understanding of current legislation and its responsibilities.

·         Maintaining the outstanding ethos of the school.

 

The successful candidate will: -

 

·         Hold a relevant qualification to at least a NVQ Level 3 or suitable equivalent that would support the role.

·         Have experience of managing a team.

·         Have a sound understanding of the current legislation relating to the safeguarding of children and the responsibilities that go with this.

·         Be hard working, professional and reliable with good time keeping.

·         Be an effective communicator who is able to work with all stakeholders including school leaders and parent/carers.

·         Be committed to the ongoing development of the club and its team.

·         Have a successful history of working with children and young people in the primary age range, planning activities for them, both indoors and outdoors.
