Data, Assessment and Exams Officer
25 hours per week with the proviso that extra hours will be worked during the exam period.
Maternity Cover (Must be able to commit for one year)

The Governors wish to appoint an outstanding Data, Assessment and Exams Officer to cover a period of maternity leave for one year.
 

The ideal candidate for this exams officer role must have previous experience of organizing the examinations in accordance with regulations within schools.  Experience of SIMS is essential.

The exams officer will liaise with school staff regarding examination entries, and manage the daily running of the exams.

• Submitting entries for external examinations to awarding bodies in advance of deadlines.
• Answering queries regarding examinations with staff, students and parents.
• Organising exam materials, providing safe custody of and organizing examination stationary and materials.
• Organising the examination rooms and seating plans.
• Providing a timetable to include dates, times, venues and number of students.
• Arranging invigilation (through the H.R. Advisor), including briefing and training invigilators in school procedures.
• Ensuring accurate maintenance and management of pupil and school data.
• Maintaining the SIMS database and producing of data reports for SLT.

The post holder must have

• Good administration skills, computer literacy and be highly efficient and organized.
• Should have a clear commitment to safeguarding.
• Be articulate and able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with pupils, teachers, examination invigilators, parents and examination board representatives.
