Salary:                   Soulbury 16-19 £55,854 - £59,625
Hours:                   37 hours

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Inclusive Education & Learning, you will play your part in moving our education service forward, leading the development of collaborative approaches that focus on the holistic needs of each child in the context of their families and communities, creating whole system approaches that tackle some of our more intractable challenges around outcomes, attainment and behaviour.

You will provide drive and leadership to our SEND strategy, ensuring that to all our children and young people, including our most vulnerable, start well. You will lead and develop the Council’s high quality and effective SEND strategy and manage the SEND Service including statutory assessment and review and the management of low incidence support services.

You will lead and champion inclusive practice for children and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disability), including working closely with school leadership teams to further develop and enhance their SEND offer.

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person with great interpersonal skills and the capacity to forge first class relationships and effective multi-agency working. You will be passionate about providing excellent services for children with SEND, determined that all children should have the best start in life, and that means access to high quality education for all.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
