This is an
exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic colleague to join Bolton EPS as an
Assistant EP. This post would be ideal for someone hoping to develop a range of
experience and skills in preparation for training as an Educational
Psychologist. This post involves assisting the Educational Psychology Service
in the delivery of core services in early years, school and college settings,
including work with Looked After Children. The post holder would be supported
in order to undertake a range of work including observations, consultations,
appropriate assessments, writing reports and delivering training.
Applicants should have at least a
2:1 Honours
Degree in Psychology providing a graduate basis for registration with the
British Psychology Society and be willing to commit to working in Bolton until
at least September 2022.
With
a sound understanding of children and young people’s cognitive, social and
emotional development, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
you will be keen to further your skills in a range of areas and work with a
wide range of stakeholders in order to provide advice and support for children
with special educational needs. You will be a keen to work as part of a team
and will be able to work closely with all members of the team to support with
casework. You will be committed to pursuing a career in Educational Psychology.
Bolton
Educational Psychology Service (EPS) has an exciting opportunity for an
Assistant Educational Psychologist to join our team. We are a small friendly
team. We are well regarded within the LA and we have been extremely successful
in our move to a part traded service. The demand for our service is high. We
can offer pleasant office facilities, free on-site car parking and
opportunities to work remotely. This post offers an opportunity to develop the
skills and experience needed to apply for the Educational Psychology doctoral
training course. We are able to offer the opportunity to develop a range of
skills through undertaking various activities such as supporting Educational
Psychologists with casework, delivering training, attending multi-agency
meetings and undertaking Early Years work and work with Looked After Children.
