Adult Education Manager

Salary: Grade 11 Scp 45 £40,858 to Scp 49 £44,697 per annum
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Bolton Town Hall
Contract:  Fixed term contract for 12 months

The Role:
An excellent opportunity to influence,  manage and enable the determination, development and delivery of Adult Education in Bolton. Ensuring that learning opportunities are widened for adults in the Borough, and to support programme development for disadvantaged learners.  

This includes Management, administration and monitoring of the Adult Education Budget, contract and funding - a £2.3 million subcontracted ESFA Adult Education Budget  

The role will also involve project and performance monitoring and management, Quality Assurance and curriculum planning,  supporting Ofsted preparation and nominee activities, report writing and AEB returns. An ability to integrate Data and ILR returns is required, as is financial and external Audit support.

About You:
With a demonstrable understanding of Adult Education, and excellent all-round communication skills, you’ll plan, prepare and ensure a high quality provision of Adult Education in the Borough.   You’ll also need well-developed networking and influencing skills to build relationships with internal and external contacts.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing large scale funded Adult Education programmes in either a teaching or project role and hold a relevant degree, you’ll be task focussed and motivated to get the job done.    

It is desirable that the candidate has either a Project Management qualification (PRINCE2) or some experience of a similar activity.
