This is a diverse and rewarding support role which provides support to individual students with a range of needs and/or disabilities on a programme of additional support. This can be facilitated on a one to one basis or in small groups both in the classroom and throughout the college as part of the achievement raising and retention strategies.
The successful candidate will have experience of providing additional support with literacy, numeracy, exam / study skills and time management to assist students in their main programme of study and also have experience of implementing targeted interventions with identified students as appropriate to further support outcomes and success rates.

We are looking for an individual who:
• Has knowledge of issues which affect the learning of 16–19 year olds
• Has an understanding of some of the issues that can affect learners with specific learning difficulties, impairment and physical health needs
• Has proven experience of supporting young people with a range of educational difficulties
• Has the ability and desire to motivate and encourage young people to achieve their full potential
• Is familiar with assistive technology to aid learning and progress
