Raise the Youth Foundation Community Interest Company has been delivering youth support services since 2011. In June 2016, we achieved Independent School Status. Raise Education and Wellbeing School is school for children and young people with SEMH difficulties. We are registered to provide education for full-time students, aged between 11-25yrs. We currently have approximately 30 young people, the majority are aged between 13-17 years old. We apply trauma and ACE informed practices.

0ur children and young people have EHC Plans or are currently undergoing assessment. As a specialist, SEMH school our children and young people all have complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. Many also face additional challenges and have conditions including ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Asperger’s, Autism, SpLD, MLD, PTSD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and foetal alcohol syndrome. Additionally, many of our students are living very difficult lives which results in complex and challenging emotional responses.

We work very closely with local authorities and partner organisations to ensure that we deliver education and well-being that is tailored to the individual needs of each young person. Our team of around 50 staff is made up of professionals from a diverse range of backgrounds including teaching, social work, health, youth work, vocational skills and criminal justice. Our staff team work across all of our different service and programme areas.

There are different careers opportunities within Raise including: education, adult learning, specialist mentoring and targeted youth work. Our programmes are diverse and we require a staff team that is flexible and agile to respond to this.

Our approach is person-centred, holistic, therapeutic, nurturing, compassionate and inclusive. We combine the delivery of academic and vocational learning qualifications with specialist social, health and behavioural education in our learning zones and in community locations.

We are looking to add dedicated, innovative and caring professionals to our growing team and are interested from hearing from candidates who are able to bring energy, passion and a desire to see our young people achieve.
