Teaching Assistant Level 2

 

We are looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to support a child in a Year One class with an Education, Health & Care Plan for 30 hours per week. The hours will involve working with this child individually and in small groups under the direction of the year group teachers. Hours of work are 8:30-3:30pm each day ( one hour for lunch).

You will be required to work over part of the pupil`s lunchtime.

You will need to be patient, resilient and enjoy a challenge. You will need to be skilled in behaviour management and able to adhere to agreed plans for rewards and sanctions.

You need to be willing to attend further training in order to meet the child’s individual needs. This will include ABA ( Applied Behaviour Analysis) training , at parental request.

Ideally you will have had experience in supporting pupils who have a cognition and learning need, speech, language and communication difficulties and social communication difficulties. However, this is ‘ desirable’ rather than ‘ essential’.
