SALARY:                      Grade 2 Point 11-13 £15,507 -£16,191 Per Annum Pro Rata

STATUS:                     Permanent

HOURS:                       7 ½ Hours Per Week, Term Time Only – 11.50 – 1.20pm Each Day

REQUIRED FROM:       1st April 2017

 

The Headteacher and Governors of Highfield are seeking to appoint a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly team. We take pride in the high standards of educational provision and our students’ achievements. This success is due to the skills, expertise and hard work of a highly committed team of teaching and support staff.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive school meal supervisor to take responsibility for providing fun lunch time activities and supervision for children of all ages. 
The successful candidates must be able to work effectively within their role, primarily ensuring that the children are safe and happy at lunchtime.

Responsibilities of the post include:

• Setting up and clearing away the dining area and play equipment;
• Supporting and encouraging the children to eat their dinner;
• Playing with the children and introducing new games;
• Securing the safety, welfare and good behaviour of the children in accordance with  school policy.

Skills and Attributes - you must:

• possess good communication skills;
• enjoy listening and talking to children, assisting children with their lunch and engaging them in playground and indoor games;
• be able to work effectively as part of a team and understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.
