Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a newly created team of PA’s in a challenging, driven and motivated council?

 

This role will be instrumental in providing co-ordinated, executive and strategic support to our leadership teams, so that they can successfully deliver the strategic aims of the Council.

 

Your role will be vital in supporting the council to meet changing needs and providing a resilient service to the leadership teams. We envisage you delivering an efficient executive support service by developing processes and procedures while making the best use of ICT.  You will have a significant contribution in ensuring we recruit exceptional PA’s and will inspire and motivate the team to achieve our objectives.  As team leader you will also work closely with the wider Corporate Resources Directorate to deliver strategic priorities and change management across service areas.

 

 

It’s going to be a challenge we know!  You need to demonstrate that you have the proven managerial skills and qualifications requires to create innovative and efficient processes within the directorates, to bring together our leadership teams.

 

It is essential that you show determination, motivation, drive and have the skill to effectively listen and interact with our leadership teams and partner organisations, to devise strategies and make proposals for change. We need you to be able to manage professional staff and show that you understand the pressures and demands placed on their roles and to offer them support, direction and guidance.

 

The Executive Support Team has been created to support our leadership teams of 17 chief Officers across 4 directorates, as well as the Leader of the Council and 10 PA’s. The team leader, with support from the PA’s will ensure day to day operations are delivered efficiently, and that new processes, procedures and systems are embedded. They will collectively work to deliver a centralised resource ensuring consistency and resilience for all directorates, leading to a holistic approach to strategic leadership support.
