Safeguarding Team Manager

Salary:        Grade K £41,675 - £45,591

Due to a current promotion we are looking for a permanent team manager role to work within our safeguarding service. Our service ensures the welfare and protection of the most vulnerable children across Bolton. These are children subject to child in need plans, child protection plans, PLO, through to adoption. This team manager role will be responsible for the supervision, support and guidance of social work staff. The role will ensure that the services offered to children are of the highest quality, ensuring effective safeguarding of children and adhering to statutory and legislative requirements. You will be expected to  ensure the standards of work through supervision, quality assurance and audit. Alongside the  management team and head of service, working together you will drive forward the vision of improving services to improve outcomes for children.

You will need to  be a qualified social worker with at least 3 years’ experience of safeguarding children and child protection experience. We are looking for a candidate with a positive outlook, who is ambitious, creative but most of all caring. You will need to be resilient and solution focused, with an ethos of effective team working and partnership working. The right candidate will be able to show transferrable skills that are required to be an effective team manager in a challenging area of child protection.
