Grade: Grade C Scp 4 £9,960 to Scp 6 £10,362 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Shift Patten: 7.15am - 11.15am 5 days per week
Location: Ellesmere House and other locations within the Borough

The Role – 
   The role is to assist the Vulnerable Persons Transport management and supervisory team to do everything possible to ensure the Department fulfils its primary purpose both effectively and efficiently.   To be able to co ordinate Passenger Assistants or Drivers to undertake particular duties and cover absences to ensure appropriate allocation of staff to cover the service.  

The nature and demands of the post holder’s time are not always predictable and there will be an expectation that work may be required outside normal hours from time to time, flexibility in this post is crucial to the service.

About You –   We are looking to appoint an individual who has experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well presented documents.  You will have the ability  to plan, organise and prioritise workloads.   Be able to produce work schedules for transport staff under the direction of the team leader and to be able to cover and carry out Passenger Assistant duties as required.  

The nature and demands of the post holder’s time are not always predictable and there will be an expectation that work may be required outside normal hours from time to time, flexibility in this post is crucial to the service.  

You should demonstrate that you qualify for the post by having NVQ Administration Level 2 or word processing/typing qualification to level 2 or NVQ Customer Service Level 2.  ECDL or willing to undertake ECDL training

About Us –  We are a team who arrange the collection of approximately 1800 children and adults to schools and other settings every day.  Ensuring that we deliver the service with minimal impact when services have to be revised due to a number of reasons such as vehicle breakdowns, staff cover etc.   You will be supported by experienced members of the team and where appropriate have access to training.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A DBS check is therefore required for this post.   This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
