Registration Officer.

Grade 4, £18,672 - £20,541 per annum
37 hours per week (see shift pattern below), 12 month fixed term contract.

To register births, deaths and marriages, conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies within the Register Office and any Approved Premises within the Bolton district. 


The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy when dealing with customers.  A high standard of verbal communication is required ensuring that the customers needs are listened to and responded to fully.  Due to the nature of the position producing legal documents a strong attention to detail is also required.  It is essential that the candidate is resilient when dealing with customers reactions and emotions and is flexible in approach with the ability to change direction at short notice.

Shift pattern - 35.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 1 Saturday in 4 weeks, and on call duties 1 Sunday in 8 weeks.
