Salary                       £30,507 - £36,876 per annum

Our Children’s Homes are based on ordinary life principles. We are committed to supporting each young person to lead a rewarding and fun life, to achieve their potential and be as independent as possible.

 

Birtenshaw is looking to appoint a Registered Manager that is:

 

Innovative, inspirational and a positive role model to staff teams and young people

 

…and has:

 

* worked for at least two years in a children’s home within the last five years.

 

* worked for at least one year in a supervisory or management role in a children’s home

 

* experience of direct work with people who have moderate to severe learning disability, and/or autistic spectrum conditions, significant physical impairment and/or complex health needs.

 

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent or willingness to commence within three months of appointment.

 

Please note: If appointed, you must be prepared to work at any Birtenshaw location if the need arises.

About our Children’s Homes:

 

Ordinary houses within the community in the Bolton area - they look the same as neighbouring houses on the outside, although on the inside they have all been adapted to suit the physical and sensory needs of young people living there.

 

Up to four young people live together in a homely and comfortable environment.

 

The service is committed to positive activities: all staff actively encourage young people to try new experiences, participate in a wide range of sports, activities and interests in the evening and at weekends and school holidays.
