Grade: Grade C (Scp 4 £18,933 to Scp 6 £19,698 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 23 months (February 2022 to December 2023)
Location: The Workshop

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a fast-paced office, helping to deliver Welfare to Work programmes for local residents at ‘The Workshop’, the Council’s Employment and Skills team in Paderborn House.

 

Candidates must have good communication skills, experience in collating and interpreting information and a strong attention to detail.  In addition, the successful candidate needs to display good customer service skills via telephone and face to face contact, must be able to work on their own initiative and under pressure to help deliver targets as well as supporting the delivery of events and training.  The Information and Support Officer plays a vital role in a busy office in order to support the team help local residents find work placements, qualifications and employment.

 

Given that the role includes access to personal data, successful candidates must already have or must apply for a current standard disclosure from the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS).

About You:

Bolton Council’s Workshop team run welfare to work programmes for local residents to help them back into work.  The team deliver contracts such as ‘Restart’, ‘Work and Health Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS’) and ‘Skills for Employment’ to support people back into full time employment.
