Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2
Working Pattern:  fixed term for one year in the first instance
Hours: 32.5 hrs hours per week Term Time plus 5 days
Salary:  TA2 Grade E Scale Point 11 - 17 (£21,166 - £23,836 Pro Rata)

The Governors of this “outstanding school” (OfSTED 2018, 2014, 2009 and 2006) wish to appoint two additional Teaching Assistants at Level TA2. These posts are on a temporary basis, initially for one year in the first instance, to meet student needs due to a significant rise in numbers. We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to work in different areas of the school’s provision.

Rumworth School provides for students aged 11 to 19 who have a range of disabilities and special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders, sensory difficulties, physical or health-related difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties or social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. All students have an EHCP, and we have just over 250 students on roll from September 2019.

We have developed superb facilities for our wonderful students over recent years and we moved in to our newly built extended facilities in September 2018. We have specialist rooms for curriculum delivery, and we have a wide range of resources and technologies to support and enhance learning. We are developing specialist areas for the delivery of Vocational opportunities for our students, we have a dedicated provision for our post-16 students and we were also commissioned to run post-19 provision for September 2016. Many of our talented, friendly and experienced staff have successfully moved from mainstream to special education. Staff development is a high priority in our inclusive school community.
