The Policy, Strategy and Partnerships Unit are looking to recruit a Policy, Performance and Partnerships Officer Grade G to a full time permanent post.

The unit, which works closely with service managers within the People Services department and other partners, is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible person capable of working on their own initiative to help drive and enable improved outcomes for the people of Bolton. The post holder will work within a busy team supporting the departmental and partnership approach to policy, business planning, inspection preparation and performance management.

You must demonstrate well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with managers and staff from the council and partners. Experience of using IT is also essential, in particular Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a detailed understanding of business planning, performance management principles and approaches along with an understanding of the national, regional and local policy agendas facing local government and the public sector.
