SEN Holiday Play Worker

Salary:                   Grade C SCP 4 £18,933(pro-rata) - £9.81 per hour
Hours:                   35
Contract:             Fixed Term

To provide good quality, inclusive, safe play/care including meeting children’s individual needs, supervision of activities, outings and provision. Ensuring the provision of high-quality childcare and appropriate play opportunities for all children attending the scheme.

This role is working with children / young people with special educational needs (SEN).

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have some experience of working with children and young people.

You must have an interest in working with children and young people and be able to bring some activities/skills to enable you to work as part of team to ensure the children have an enjoyable time whilst at the setting.

Bolton Council’s Play & Youth Service sits within the Department of People. We are committed to working with children and young people, supporting them in accessing positive activities.

The Service is looking to recruit dynamic and enthusiastic individuals on a fixed term basis to support both children and young people with specific additional needs to access play and youth opportunities in a variety of settings. Experience of working with children/young people aged 4-12 and/or 13-19 years old with specific additional needs is essential. 

Successful candidates will be required to take part in some training before starting the role and must be available 5 days out of 7 (Monday to Sunday) for the Easter Holidays 5 April – 17 April, May Half Term 31 May – 5 June and the Summer holidays 19 July and 28 August 2020 (no additional time off will be permitted between these dates).
