Part –Time Welfare Assistant Level (SMSA)

Firwood High School is a successful 11-19 special school meeting the needs of children with
complex learning difficulties.

Trustees are looking to appoint some outstanding SMSA’s who are passionate about
supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.

Firwood is at an exciting time in its development.  We have recently converted to
Woodbridge Academy Trust in partnership with Ladywood Primary Special School, Ladywood Outreach Service and Woodbridge College (Post 19 provision).

Applicants should be enthusiastic about the development of their skills to work effectively
with students with special educational needs and a desire to better their knowledge and understanding of an area within this forum.

We require SMSA’s who are prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ for our very special young
people.

Contract:  Part time, Term Time only and permanent.
Start Date:  As soon as possible
Salary:  Grade 4, Actual Salary Range £3,130 - £3,444 per annum
Working Hours: 7.5 hrs per week (1.5 hrs per day, 11:45 – 13:15)
