Department: Vehicle Fleet Management
Salary: Grade 6 Scp 25 £23,111 to Scp 29 £26,470 per annum (Tool allowance paid. Overalls and protective clothing provided).
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Hours to meet service needs which will involve working early and late shifts.
Contract: Permanent
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies (Light and Large Goods Vehicles) or City and Guilds Level 3 (Light and Large Goods Vehicles).  MOT Testers certificate.   You must hold a full current driving licence (LGV, C1 and D1  licence an advantage), 

The Role:
To provide an efficient repair and maintence service to the Councils vehicle fleet and grounds maintenance equipment.

About You:
You will need to be qualified as a Motor Vehicle Technician with several years experience working in a motor vehicle repair and servicing environment. Experience of maintaining Large Goods Vehicles and vehicles in a municipal setting will be an advantage but not essential. You will need to be flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines in a busy workshop. Use of your own tools is important for which an additional allowance will be paid.
