The Independent
Reviewing Officer will have duties regarding the oversight of Care Planning
within both Child Protection and Children Looked After areas of work. This
includes the Chairing of Child Looked After Reviews and Child Protection Case
Conferences. They also have duties to monitor casework across the service and
quality assure the work being undertaken by the Department and where
appropriate to critically challenge, to ensure the service works in the best
interests of the children and young people involved.
You will be an experienced Social Worker with broad and detailed
knowledge regarding both fields of child protection and children looked after
and be experienced and confident in chairing meetings and care planning. You
must have a clear understanding of multi-agency working in partnership and be focused
on ensuring timely and good quality services are being provided to the children
and young people you are working with. We are seeking somebody with energy,
drive and commitment to support the children of Bolton.
