The Role

The post holder will be responsible for providing a range of business services to the RAA which will include servicing weekly held adoption panels, ensuring venues are booked, organising invites, booking refreshments, preparing documentation.

Taking Panel minutes direct to a laptop, or using shorthand, and transcribing accurately to a high standard.  Meetings will usually last a minimum of 3 hours but may last up to a maximum of 6 hours.

 

You will be required to attend and minute meetings across six local authorities in Greater Manchester and Blackburn which you will be able to claim travel expenses for.  These meetings will usually be four times a month.

 

About You

You must be proficient in Microsoft Word and have accurate typing and minute taking skills.  The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and have experience of dealing with both internal and external customers are essential to the post.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative in an often sensitive and confidential environment are also required.  Training will be provided on all current systems and procedures
