Rough Sleeping Outreach Worker / Navigator

Location: Town Hall, Bolton 
Essential Requirement: Driving 

The Role: 
Bolton Council has secured additional resources through Central Government’s Rough Sleeping funding to tackle rough sleeping. 

2 full time (37hrs) Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker / Navigator  (1 x outreach / 1 x outreach / navigator) will provide outreach contact and key worker support in engagement with rough sleepers through key transitions into longer term accommodation. You will work closely with partner agencies to provide a co-ordinated response to rough sleepers to address their accommodation, health and well being and work flexibly across the week and at times during the early morning and evening to maximise engagement. Part-time applicants welcome.

 
About You:
As a Rough Sleeper Navigator / Outreach Worker you will:
ü  have excellent communication skills, be compassionate and non-judgemental, will be able to build trust and confidence, motivate and encourage people with considerable vulnerabilities and needs to adopt positive courses of action;
ü  be able to develop trust and confidence with a wide variety of people including rough sleepers and with partner agencies and be a supportive and collaborative team member; and
ü  be able to demonstrate initiative, quickly assimilate information, demonstrate an ability to plan and deliver interventions and assistance successfully.
