Raise the Youth Foundation CIC is a not for profit social enterprise delivering targeted youth, education, training and wellbeing programmes. We run several services including Raise Education and Wellbeing School which specialises in bespoke and tailored trauma informed and attachment aware education services for children and young people with SEMH needs and an alternative education provision for pupils who have been or are at risk of being permanently excluded from schools. We also deliver several community-based services, including our SOS Connected youth and community programme and adult education.

We have a multi-disciplinary approach with team members from several professional backgrounds, including education, social care, health, substance misuse, criminal justice and youth work.

We are looking to add to our team by appointing a Science Teacher to work as part of the wider school/college provision. The successful candidate will be teaching Science up to GCSE level to often disengaged and disaffected young people who need motivating to learn through innovative and ‘hands on’ teaching practices.

Applicant must be highly resilient, adaptable, positive and a solution focused person who shares our ethos, cares about children and young people and understands that their challenging behaviour comes from their challenging lives. As a highly committed team player, the successful candidate will have the drive, energy and passion to help to develop and shape our forward-looking and innovative company. Applicants must be willing to lead by example and play a full part in the organisation’s drive for outstanding practice and all-inclusive ethos.
