37 hours per week, 12 month fixed term contract.

The Marketing, Events and Communications team sit right at the heart of the organisation and provide a core service for the council and it’s partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join our diverse, multi-disciplined team at a time of massive change as we refocus to reflect the council’s aspirations.


The post holder will play a key role in the Marketing, Events and Communications team, providing an administrative support function and assisting in the day-to-day running of the service. On a daily basis the post holder will help with administration for projects and initiatives as well as using supporting systems and processes. Crucial to the role will be understanding and expertise of budget management and reconciliation and system control for the team’s budget. Additionally developing effective relationships with suppliers and contractors in order to support the team is equally important to this role.  Some out of hours working may be required as the job demands (flexi-time is in operation).


With a can do attitude and willingness to learn, you should be someone who enjoys working on a wide range of projects in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to work alone or in a team and be keen to develop your communication, administrative and planning skills with colleagues, clients and partners.

 


An enthusiastic and effective team player with an ability to work to tight deadlines and be self motivated will be key, as will an ability to use IT systems and follow processes. 

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
