Team: Vehicle Fleet Management
Hours: 37 hours
Grade: F SCP 17 £23,836  to  SCP 23 £26,999
Allowance: Tool allowance payment (£7.25 per week)  Overalls and protective clothing provided.
Shifts: Required for day shift 7.24 hours per day worked usually between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
Start and Finish times can vary in line with service needs.

Contract: Permanent
Location: Wellington Street Depot, Bolton, BL3 5DX
Essential Requirements:  Driving - LGV licence an advantage.

NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies (Light and Large Goods Vehicles) or City and Guilds Level 3 (Light and Large Goods Vehicles)   MOT Testers certificate an advantage

The Role – To provide an efficient repair and maintenance service to the Councils vehicle fleet and grounds maintenance equipment

About You –

You will need to be qualified as a Motor Vehicle Technician with several years experience working in a motor vehicle repair and servicing environment. Experience of maintaining Large Goods Vehicles and vehicles in a municipal setting will be an advantage but not essential. You will need to be flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines in a busy workshop. Use of your own tools is important for which an additional allowance will be paid. Occasional overtime available during the week and Saturday morning.
