Senior System Support & Policy Officer

Grade G, £26,999 - £30,507 per annum

1 x permanent post

37 hours per week

 

 

As a Senior System Support and Policy officer you will ensure the effective delivery of policies and procedures through training, guidance and quality assurance.  You will assist with the compilation of the subsidy claim and contribute to council tax and housing benefit year ends.  You will support, design, maintain and develop systems within revenues, benefits and customer services to meet changing business needs.  You will be responsible for supervising other members of the team, including supporting though one to ones and performance development reviews, where you will give feedback on progress and performance. 

 

 

An ideal candidate will have practical experience and knowledge of revenues and benefits legislation and administration.  You will have the ability to interpret new legislation and understand its impact on the service and translate that into guidance and training.  You will have a detailed knowledge of revenues, benefits and customer services IT systems and the ability to acquire technical skills relating to this.  The ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships to support other team members and maintain a good team environment is essential.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
