Position: Teaching Assistant Level 3
Salary: £15,777-£19,500 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Hours: Term Time (including 10 development & training days), 35hrs p/w
Start date: September 2020 subject to safeguarding checks
Location: Raise the Youth Foundation, Bolton
Raise the Youth Foundation CIC is a not for profit social enterprise delivering targeted youth, education, training and wellbeing programmes. Raise the Youth Foundation is mindful mental health and trauma informed provider. We run several services including Raise Education and Wellbeing School which specialises in bespoke and tailored trauma informed and attachment aware education services for children and young people with SEMH needs and an alternative education provision for pupils who have been, or are at risk of being permanently excluded from schools. We also deliver several community-based services, including our SOS Connected youth and community programme and adult education.
We have a multi-disciplinary approach with team members from several professional backgrounds, including education, social care, health, substance misuse, criminal justice and youth work.
We are looking to add to our team by appointing three experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants, who will work closely with the Teachers in all learning environments to secure progress and attainment for all learners.
Successful candidates will have experience and skills in the following areas:-
• Vocational skills/studies and or forest school
• Work placements, preparing young people for work, volunteering and life skills
• SLCN qualification
• Supporting with catch up and recovery in literacy and numeracy
• Education interventions
• GCSE support
• Stretch and challenge experience
• ASD, PTSD, Anxiety disorder and other mental health
• PRU and/or AP experience
Please note, we will consider applicants Level 2 Teaching Assistants if they have the above experience and meet the essential requirements outlined in the job description.
