Contract and Quality Monitoring Officer

Salary: Grade G £26,999 - £30,507 (pro-rata)
Hours: 0.2 fte (1 day per week) with additional hours available by mutual agreement.
Contract: Fixed Term (6 months)

Working in a regional team based at Bolton Council you will have a key role in monitoring a regional contract for supported accommodation for young people and working with providers to help them meet the region’s minimum standards to improve placement quality.

Due to the current needs of the service there may be the opportunity during the fixed term  contract to work additional hours on  casual basis. This will be discussed with shortlisted candidates at interview and will be mutually agreed  if the successful person is available to undertake additional hours

.The actual hours of work can be flexible to fit around the successful person’s existing commitments.Whilst the post is based in Bolton there is an option for remote working and no regular requirement to travel to the office base.

With a demonstrable understanding of contracting, quality monitoring and provider engagement, good attention to detail and strong communication skills you will also need to be comfortable working independently and with a large group of stakeholders.

You will be comfortable in building working relationships with external providers, negotiating and resolving conflicts positively and effectively. You will also need excellent IT skills to be able to work remotely.

Placements North West is a strategic commissioning service which supports the development of sufficient placements for Looked After Children and Care Leavers. The service is hosted by Bolton Council and funded by the 23 North West local authorities. We work with a large group of stakeholders across the region to deliver a collective approach to placement commissioning.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
