BRIDGES Family Support Team Bolton is a fabulous team
with outstanding outcomes for disabled children, young people and their
families.
The
hourly rate for the role starts at £9.94 and you will earn an annual salary is £10,362 plus 7% enhancement
for unsociable hours and weekend working. During
your time with the service this will increase to £11,441 per annum plus 7% as
you progress along the pay scale.

team was voted as
Bolton’s Best for Customer Care in 2016.

was voted for by parents, young people and our colleagues in other services and
reflects the high esteem in which we are held and the way in which our flexible
family led approach is valued and appreciated.
The
team was also assessed and rated as Outstanding in our last two CQC
inspections. This again reflects our approach and our commitment to providing a
bespoke support service to disabled
children, young people and families.

Currently
our team has three x 20 hour permanent Family
Support Assistant posts available so this is a great time to join our team and
learn alongside other new people. We already have 6 experienced Family Support Assistants on the
team.
Family Support
Assistants are a vital part of our team providing practical and
personal support to disabled children. This
may be in their own homes or to enable them to get out and about. You will be committed to helping families
meet the needs of the young people in their care and, if not experienced or
qualified, willing to undertake training.
You
will be a highly motivated individual, comfortable working within a team or by
yourself, caring for disabled children and young people.
You
will be committed and passionate about providing high quality, person centred
practical, emotional and social support to the children in your care.
You
won’t be expected to know “everything”, but you must want to work
alongside our children and families and be wiling to learn from them, our
team members and by undertaking formal training.
You
will care about what you do and want to provide the highest quality care and
experience you can.
This
means that you will be working flexibly according to the assessed needs of
families. This includes some weekend work and both early morning and late

You
will be operating within the wider Short Break Care team meeting the assessed need of disabled children
and their families across Bolton. This is a team with a strong ethos of person
centred planning responding to
individual needs of each child . Hours of work
vary from person to person according to need, and team members pride
themselves on their flexibility.

share this commitment. A DBS check is
therefore required for this post.
This post is a designated customer facing role
under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per
the person specification.
