Role overview
The Birtenshaw Group wishes to recruit a Gym and Activities Instructor to maximise opportunities for young people with special education needs and disability to participate in a full range of PE lessons, gym based activities and sport.
We are particularly keen to receive applications from anyone with expertise in dance or yoga or those with a specialism in a particular sport or activity.
Key Responsibilities
1. To assist in devising and delivering gym programmes to enhance the experiences of young people supported by Birtenshaw
2. To work with care and education staff to encourage the maximum participation of young people in PE, gym sessions and sport
3. To plan, deliver and evaluate P.E lessons based on the national curriculum in a school environment, adapted for young people with special education needs and disability
