We currently have 1 Permanent Occupational Therapy post with the Independent living Team in Bolton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who wants to develop their existing skills in this busy but friendly department. We are a mixed team of Occupational Therapist’s, Disability Officers and Community Service Officers covering the borough of Bolton.
Our service users have a mix of complex physical, learning and mental health disabilities.
The Independent Living Service is a well respected and highly performing team, with a remit of helping people with disabilities develop their skills in order to promote independent living.
The successful applicants will work in an integrated team, providing equipment and adaptations as necessary.

You will have responsibility for the assessment and provision of a wide range of services, including equipment, minor and major adaptations and moving and handling. Close working is needed with our partner agencies in Health and Social care, as well as the Borough Councils, housing providers and equipment services.
Knowledge and experience of moving and handling, specialist equipment and the disability facilities' grants process is desirable.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
