The Role:

Qualified  Social Worker – APPROVED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL 

Bolton AMHP HUB  require an AMHP to join our busy team of 4 dedicated AMHPs working to provide statutory MHA assessmemts and other related duties. Ideally we are looking for a dynamic, skilled and enthusiastic candidate  with extensive practical experience of working within the  Mental Health Act and be fully HCPC registered. This is a fixed term of 18 months and is a part time post of 2 long days during the week

 ( 18.5 hours/week mon to fri flexible between 9am and 7pm)


About You:
The successful candidate requires knowledge of the legislation and policies concerning  modern mental health care and understanding of how this is delivered together with the ability to identify the signs and symptoms of mental illness. The candidate will ideally be able to develop an understanding of local resources and take appropriate action including least restrictive alternatives to admission.   Excellent communication,  networking and assessment skills are required together with the ability to implement relevant legislation and manage risk. HCPC registration is required. 


About Us:

Bolton AMHP Hub  requires a Qualified AMHP to join our busy hub of  AMHPs working primarily to provide assessment under the Mental Health Act and related activity. Ideally we are looking for a dynamic, skilled and enthusiastic candidate  with extensive practical experience of the Act and be fully HCPC registered.

The  main duties include the provision of an Approved Mental Health Professional service to appropriate clients in crisis. This includes co-ordination of comprehensive Mental Health Act assessments involving professional consideration of complex  health and social care needs, risk assessment and management, care and interventions in accordance with statutory requirements and Departmental policies.


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A DBS check is therefore required for this post.

 

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
