Independent Visitor Coordinator
Salary - £22,000 - £26,000 pro rata for part time
Permanent Position, subject to ongoing funding
Minimum 25 hours per week – up to Full Time (35 per week)

We are looking to appoint an Independent Visitor Coordinator – to be part of our outstanding ‘Targeted Youth Service’ here at Bolton Lads & Girls Club. This is not a 9-5pm office job and a flexible approach to work hours to meet the needs of the service is required.
Main duties of the post include:
· Managing a cohort of Looked After Children and their Independent Visitors (volunteer befrienders)
· Providing regular dedicated support, advice and guidance to Independent Visitors
· Attending relevant professional meetings and liaising with other agencies to ensure we provide the best possible service to children and young people referred to the service
· Recruiting and training volunteers
You should be experienced in working with young people and managing staff or volunteers. You need to be organised, have excellent inter-personal skills and a background in either social care, youth work or another relevant field.
