Salary Scale P1-P5 £41,266 - £45,543

The Headteacher and Governors of Pikes Lane Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Leader of Learning to join our senior leadership team from September 2020. This is a newly created position and presents a unique opportunity in school. This role is 50% classed based for a Lead Practitioner to deliver outstanding lessons, inspire and support the development of colleagues and secure outstanding outcomes for our pupils.

Successful applicants will be able to:
·         engage and inspire pupils and set high expectations
·         demonstrate their deep understanding of pedagogy across a range of subjects
·         evidence teaching across more than one primary Key Stage
·         show excitement by thinking innovatively and working as part of an effective team and confident to embrace change
·         demonstrate significant experience in middle or senior leadership and can demonstrate impact of this ·         model excellent practice which leads to excellent results and outcomes
·         demonstrate excellent and innovative pedagogical practice, and deliver demonstration lessons
·         take a lead role in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and practice that lead to school improvement and increased outcomes for children
·         undertake research into best practice and draw on research outcomes and other sources of external evidence to inform own practice and that of colleagues
·         ensure the highest standard of teaching and learning across school through coaching and mentoring of staff
·         contribute to the professional development (and appraisal, where appropriate) of colleagues using a broad range of skills appropriate to their needs so that they demonstrate enhanced and effective practice (e.g. coaching, mentoring, induction)
