Primary Swimming Teacher

Contract type – Casual
Grade F (points 17 to 23)
Hourly rate between £12.35 and £13.99
Contract start date: From March 2020

Canon Slade School are seeking to appoint a team of casual swimming teachers to deliver the Primary swimming programme to the Primary schools who use our pool facilities around the Easter and Summer terms.  It will be necessary for the post holders to be available on the days and times that the Primary Schools have booked their lessons, which is generally either a morning or an afternoon period during the school day.  As the hours will change from week to week, the casual contract will be paid at an hourly rate.  The swimming programme is devised by the Head of PE and in conjunction with her, the post holders will help:

• to deliver a well-balanced and fully co-ordinated programme of activity
• to plan and deliver appropriate swimming sessions.
• to ensure compliance of Health and Safety regulations at all times as detailed in the School’s Policy Statements.
• to encourage a friendly and professional atmosphere ensuring all those taking part are properly guided and supervised at all times

The post offers a competitive rate of pay and, in return, we are looking for an enthusiastic swimming teacher with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving high standards.  The post holder will possess relevant qualifications and experience.
