“Opportunity and Achievement”

The Governing Board of High Lawn Primary School wishes to appoint a Site Manager to join our existing team.

The successful candidate will:

• supervise health and safety requirements in school and ensure regulations are adhered to;
• be required to manage the work of contractors on site and monitor services provided externally, such as cleaning and grounds maintenance;
• carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs during the school day and monitor major works during the school holidays;
• carry out their responsibilities throughout term time and holidays and holidays will be taken during school holidays;
• be responsible, with the Head Teacher, for the use of the school’s facilities out of school hours, including evenings and weekends; 
• have experience and skills to carry out repairs and minor building work is essential;
• have the commitment and attention to detail required in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a busy crowded environment;
• have the ability to lead and organise the work of others, as well as good interpersonal and some administrative skills;
• have positive and supportive relationships with staff and children;
• have proven knowledge and experience of building maintenance and/or facilities management;
• an up-to-date knowledge of how to meet service users' needs through effective facilities management, including site safety and security;
• ensure the delivery of external service contracts to agreed standards;
• ensure that stock control and ordering systems are efficient;
• have proven time and priority management skills;
• be capable of working autonomously.
