Salary Grade D scp 6 - 11  £19,171 - £21,166 pro rata

Permanent. Please note the SNA hours are reviewed annually for the duration of the time that the child either remains on an Education, Health and Care Plan Statement of SNA or remains on roll at St James (Daisy Hill) CE Primary School.
Hours 22.5 hours per week TA2, of which 8.33 hours per week are SNA. Term time plus 5 days
Key Stage EYFS and Key Stage 1

Vacancy Details

We are looking for a highly effective TA2 to join our team at St James. You must enjoy working with young children in the EYFS and Key Stage 1 and be able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative. The person we are looking for must also be a caring, patient yet assertive person to enable a child in Year 1 with ASD to participate fully in all aspects of school life and to build positive social relationships with peers and adults in school. Experience of working with children with SNA, in particular children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, would be an advantage.

This role involves TA2 work in Reception, including small group teaching, plus an SNA support role for a child in Year 1 with ASD (currently 8.33hrs).

The candidate must be prepared to undertake further training related to the job.
