The Role:


Bolton Council has secured funding from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (MHCLG) aimed at tackling rough sleeping, through the Government’s Rough Sleeping Strategy.

We have funding for 2 full time (37hrs) Rough Sleeper Navigators to provide key worker support for rough sleepers through key transitions and engagement into longer term settled accommodation. You will work closely with partner agencies to provide a co-ordinated response to rough sleepers to address their accommodation, health and well being and work flexibly across the week and at times during the early morning and evening to maximise engagement.

 
About You:

 
As a Rough Sleeper Navigator you will:

Have excellent communication skills, be compassionate and non-judgemental, will be able to build trust and confidence, motivate and encourage people with considerable vulnerabilities and needs to adopt positive courses of action.

Be able to develop trust and confidence with a wide variety of people including rough sleepers and with partner agencies and be a supportive and collaborative team member; and

be able to demonstrate initiative, quickly assimilate information, demonstrate an ability to plan and deliver interventions and assistance successfully.
