Job Title – Theatre and Venue Technician
Team – Albert Halls
Hours – 37 per week on a rota basis
Grade E, scp11 £25,979 to scp17 £28,770 per annum
Contract – Permanent
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Theatre and Venue Technician to provide technical support to the Albert Halls Complex, including the theatre, room hire and events and functions. The successful candidate will possess lighting, sound and stage experience and work on an array of shows and events, including musicals, pantomime, weddings, plays, concerts, award ceremonies, and corporate and civic events.
You will benefit from working alongside a diverse and multi-skilled team and will run a range of events, functions, and performances in the 673 seat theatre, in addition to our function and meeting rooms including the Festival Hall, Lancaster Suite and externally on Victoria Square.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a proven working knowledge of theatrical sound and lighting, programming digital sound and lighting systems, setting up and dismantling theatre productions. You must have excellent organisational and team working skills to work effectively with members of the Albert Halls team to schedule and deliver large scale events.
You must have excellent team-working and communication skills to ensure effective working with colleagues and customers and have a good knowledge of Health & Safety practices within an operational theatre environment.
