Grade:            F SCP 17 £28,770 to SCP 23 £32,076

Contract: 6 month Fixed Term

The Role

This role is to support to the Housing Options Service

 

The candidate will be required to provide all aspects of advice and information on homelessness and housing advice and housing access.

 

The Front Door Navigator will be required to have extensive working knowledge of relevant legislation including homelessness and lettings especially.

 

The role will require the navigator to provide assistance to vulnerable customers to access and engage in services; offering advice and support on all options and work closely with other agencies externally and internally to provide options, prevent and relieve homelessness and to provide for the needs of households. 

 

There will be a requirement for the Front Door Navigator to assist client to utilise online and telephony services where possible.

Job Description

 

About You

You must have exemplary communication skills and be confident in delivering difficult messages as well as managing expectations of clients that attend Bolton Town Hall some of which have complex, chaotic and often challenging behaviours.

 

You will be well skilled in managing challenging behaviour in particular in support of other One Stop Shop colleagues and security to ensure appropriate management of customer egress from the building.

 

There will be an element of administrative work attached to the post and you must have relevant IT skills including timely and correct database entries and be responsible for ensuring appropriate content and supply of customer information, including online and in the form of leaflets.
